A CALENDAR

FOR ONE THOUSAND YEARS

a leaf falling into the lake

a comet moving forward across the sky

coming out of the caves

going back into the lairs

a calendar for one thousand years

for the australopithecus

tribes

ANAMNESIS

the deceiving silence

before the silence

of silence

THE PROPER WORD

under the knuckles of rain

at calendas graecas

on the ides of march

on the sunday of the blind man

de rerum

during the great lent

a long time ago –

the proper word

not to be found heard uttered out loud

WHITE AZURE FLESHY

across never-never land

with two fish and five loaves of bread –

day after day

heading towards a dusty skyline

day after day

a meeting with the angel

day after day

white azure fleshy

a creature descends

from on high

all airs and graces

out of the blue

RHETORIC

a siesta behind the newspaper page

behind the padded doors behind a cigarette

deep sleep watching over wakeup calls

facedown buried in the pillow

eyes riveted to the sky

the rhetoric of good afternoon habits

a sunday of bad evening habits

at night at dawn
